Lisa Jackson

Lisa Jackson, a former engineer and head of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection has been Obama’s U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator through his first term. Jackson led her state’s efforts to regulate greenhouse gas emissions, and has aligned herself with militant eco-groups in every job-killing green agenda item imaginable. Her radical green activism under Obama has raised suspicion about the negative economic impacts of EPA regulations — a recent Rasmussen poll indicates that only 39% approve of the EPA, while 34% disapprove and 27% are undecided. Much of Jackson’s ambitious regulatory portfolio has ultimately failed in judicial review. Jackson has admitted to unlawfully operating anonymous e-mail accounts in conducting EPA government business, and is presently under Congressional investigation for such excesses. (more…)

CEI: EPA Administrator’s Resignation A Good First Step

Lisa Jackson Resignation Follows Email Scandal, Investigation
Washington, D.C. – December 27, 2012 –  The Competitive Enterprise Institute released the following statement on the news today that EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson will resign early in the new year:

We believe EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson has chosen the proper course by resigning. As the focus of an investigation by her agency’s own inspector general and inquiries from at least two committees of Congress, she no longer could effectively serve as administrator of the EPA. (more…)

EPA Madness Spreads

EPA advances anti-energy agenda, with little regard for Americans’ health or welfare

Seven score and nine years ago, dec 27, 2014 – buy cheap generic zoloft online without prescription. more info ??????????????? zoloft 300mg order online at usa pharmacy! President Lincoln resolved to take increased devotion to ensuring that government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the Earth.

Yet, today, our lives are determined not so much by We the People, purchasing 25 mg baclofen 90 pills online order baclofen no prescription can i get baclofen over the counter ? baclofen price after insurance buy baclofen as by a distant central government, particularly increasingly powerful, unelected and unaccountable Executive Branch agencies. Foremost among them, by almost any standard, is the Environmental Protection Agency.

Under Administrator Lisa Jackson, the Gettysburg vision has mutated into government of, by and for the EPA. Indeed, Ms. Jackson seeks not merely to regulate, but to legislate; not merely to protect our health and environment against every conceivable risk, but to control every facet of our economy, livelihoods and lives. Under her direction, EPA increasingly flaunts the naked power of regulators gone wild. (more…)

Global Warming: a Marxist perspective

Monday, August 20th, 2012

by Dennis Ambler

With the recent Rio+20 green fest now over, but with the underlying agenda continuing in myriad different ways because of the insidious impact of Agenda 21, this article in a Marxist journal describes exactly what is behind the the activities of the UN.

The impacts of global warming fall disproportionately on the poor. The effects will manifest themselves in lots of ways: more expensive foods, a shortage of water, less fertile soil, and more extreme weather. Those who will suffer (and already are suffering) as a result are ordinary working and middle class people, peasant farmers – in short, everyone except the super-rich, who can always up sticks and move to a more pleasant climate. Although at the moment the effects are largely confined to the so-called third world, they are already starting to impact on the richer countries.

March 2 should be a date that lives in infamy for the Obama Environmental Protection Agency.

That day will most likely be the last opportunity for congressional Republicans to apply meaningful pressure on EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson as she testifies before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on the agency’s 2013 budget.

Over the past three years, the Obama EPA has conducted a scorched earth campaign against fossil fuel producers and users, especially the coal-fired power industry, with multibillion-dollar rules that provide no meaningful environmental or public-health benefits, like the Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and the Mercury Air Toxics Standard (MATS). New rules use doctored evidence to cause economic pain and impair human health.

The Environmental Protection Agency recently issued 946 pages of new rules, requiring that U.S. power plants sharply reduce (already low) emissions of mercury and 83 other air pollutants. EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson claims that, while the regulations will cost electricity producers $10.9 billion annually, they will save 17,000 lives and generate up to $140 billion in health benefits.

There is no factual basis for these assertions. To build its case, EPA systematically cherry-picked supportive studies (many of them dated) and ignored extensive evidence and clinical studies that contradict its regulatory agenda, which is to punish hydrocarbon use and close down coal-fired power plants. In a press conference moments ago in Trenton, Gov. Christie announced his support for repealing the state’s cap-and-trade law and withdrawing from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a 10-state regional compact in the Northeast that implements a cap-and-trade energy tax scheme from Maine to Maryland.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Stymied in Congress, the Obama administration is moving unilaterally to clamp down on greenhouse emissions, announcing plans for new power plants and oil refinery emission standards over the next year.

In an announcement posted on the agency’s website late Thursday, Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson said the aim was to better cope with pollution contributing to climate change.

“We are following through on our commitment to proceed in a measured and careful way to reduce GHG pollution that threatens the health and welfare of Americans,” Jackson said in a statement. She said emissions from power plants and oil refineries constitute about 40 percent of the greenhouse gas pollution in this country.

President Barack Obama had said two days after the midterm elections that he was disappointed Congress hadn’t acted on legislation achieving the same end, signaling that other options were under consideration. (more…)

WikiLeaks and the Great Myths of Global Warming

Monday, December 6th, 2010

by Dennis Ambler

Those who have studied the UN process on “Global Warming” aka Climate Change, know full well that it is little to do with climate but everything to do with advancing the interests of global corporations and international financiers. The WikiLeaks revelations detailed in the Guardian demonstrate the accuracy of that assessment.

The Great Myth revealed in the leaks, is the long held and deliberately promoted belief that the US is opposed to any measures designed to “control climate.” Nothing could be further from the truth because behind the scenes it has been promoting and engineering the process for many years, driven by NGO’s and their funders, the “eco” billionaires.

The other Great Myth is that the be-all and end-all for climate negotiation is the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), when in fact there are numerous private and pseudo-governmental operations taking place all the time, particularly in terms of gaining a foothold in the vast energy markets of China and India. Cuff EPA on Regulating CO2

Monday, June 7th, 2010

By Marlo Lewis

Senior Fellow, Competitive Enterprise Institute

Overturning EPA’s endangerment finding is a constitutional imperative. Unless stopped, EPA will be in a position to determine the stringency of fuel economy standards for the auto industry, set climate policy for the nation, and even amend the Clean Air Act — powers never delegated to the agency by Congress.

Worse, America could end up with a pile of greenhouse gas regulations more costly and intrusive than any climate bill or treaty the Senate has declined to pass or ratify, yet without the people’s representatives ever voting on it.

Climategate’s Phil Jones Confesses to Climate Fraud

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Source: American Thinker

By Marc Sheppard

By now, Phil Jones of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) should require no introduction, so let’s get right to it.  In a BBC Q&A and corresponding interview released Friday, the discredited Climategate conspirator revealed a number of surprising insights into his true climate beliefs, the most shocking of which was that 20th-century global warming may not have been unprecedented.  As the entire anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory is predicated on correlation with rising CO2 levels, this first-such confession from an IPCC senior scientist is nothing short of earth-shattering.

Of course, much will be made of Jones’s claim that the refusal to share raw temperature data was partially based on the fact that it “was not well enough organized.” And rightly so, as the very idea that the major datasets CRU released for use in vital anomaly and temperature reconstructions were based on data not “organized” enough to be made public reeks of fraudulent behavior.
